Here is what his daughter, Jackie Carter, has to say about him.

The only information I have is;

Name:   Leonard Herbert Strawther, Sr.
        some may know him as Jeff.

Born:   Pottstown, Pa.

Died:   November 10, 1967.

He enlisted  August 25, 1941. --- Fort George Meade MD
They said he was discharge November 17, 1945 from Center 
Fort Devens, Mass.  But this information has to be wrong, 
because I was born at Fort Benning, Station Hospital, 
in 1949. On my birth certificate, it listed him as 
"Occupation: Army".  Our address was on Arrowhead  
Road, on base.

His serial #: 33 100 179.

His rank:  1/SGT.  Company K 366th Infantry Regiment.

Type of discharge:  Honorable Discharge. 

I do hope this  is enough information, if not feel free 
to let me know.
